You can make some pretty stupid power blowing through the stock carb FYI
In my experience the best thing ya can do for a turbo is keep the carb on the small side with lots of air velocity through it making Tuning much easier
40mm Weber IDF draw through turbo intake?

In blowing through a 30 pict 3 on top of a stock 1600 single port long block and its impressing the poop out of me. Best of all it was easy to set up and runs like a stock motor off boost
It’s going on the dyno in a couple weeks but the way this thing runs I will not be surprised if it makes 120 hp

I have duel blow through webers. intercooler and water injection. Just so you know blow through is harder to tune. requires more parts but runs better IMO. If I were to do it again I'd just go EFI. I still may do it and sell off my turbo carbs and stuff.
