my MS 1 v3.0 upgrade progress

Post by Thorkhild »

I upgraded to a v3.0 board. I welded up some scrap metal plates in a "L" to give me a good mounting spot for all of my gear. This holds my MS 1, relay board, LC-1, some power and ground busses, and some extra fuses.

I am going to be running wasted spark , so I added 2 bip 373s and added a second heat sink on top of the other one. DIYAUTONE said its okay to use the IAC connections for normal use. I hope it works cause it makes it easier for connections on my relay board. SPARE 3 & 4.

I also added a couple of circuits for adding a fuel pressure gauge and Oil pressure gauge. They are using Spare 1 & 2.

My final setup in the car is going to have a permanent installed tablet running tuner studio and will have all my important gauges in it.

The Fuel pump relay goes to my added fuses. It will power the new Igntion coil, the fuel pump, and my O2 sensor.

The jumpered buss is an extra grounds for my added sensors. I may or not remove it. Depends on how many "extra" grounds I need.

I also just noticed that I double fused my FP relay circuit. I will probably just add a larger fuse at the relay box and keep it wired as is, or I will remove the jumpers from the added fuse panel and use a bus bar to feed the individual circuits from the relay board FP output.

I bought a premade relay board MS cable fom Diyautotune, and its too long. I have been pondering if I should cut it to length and re-make the end. If I do I kind of want a 180 degree connector on my ECU side to goto my relay board. Does anyone know where to order a 180 degree DB-37 connector? I could use 2 90s but I don't want to double up adapters.

Also the plan is to use 1 or 2 of the 22 weatherpak bulkhead plug connectors on my firewall. I want to be able to "unplug" my engine easily for removals.
