I would like to hear opinions as to which heads I should go with. This engine is going into a bay window bus, so torque and reliability are my main concerns. Here's what Ive got built so far.
Aluminum case, all std
74mm forged crank
5.325 rods
90.5 a pistons
cb 2280 cheater cam
1.1:1 rockers
Dual 40 IDF webers
Deck height is at .040. looking for low 8's for compression
havent decided on a exhaust yet but will be using stock heater boxes and EMPI 3487 single muffler but im looking at a Vintage Speed system http://store.vintagespeed.com.tw/index. ... &Itemid=80
The heads That I'm looking at are:
Los Panchito
cb 044
Stage 1's
and DRD http://www.drdracingheads.com/xcart/OEM ... 22212.html
The Los Panchito's are so far the top runners but I am concerned about heat.
Id like to hear other opinions.
Thank You.

I wouldn't use a cheater cam in a bus.

A mate got this for his android phone. Seems like a good tool for planning a build.

Re: Cylinder Head Selection Opinions
Because you're using it to power a bus I would use some ported stock valve heads. They will provide enough flow and airspeed for the best power throughout the rpm range. The motor isn't big enough (nor are you looking to rev it high enough) to use the larger intake port volume that some 40x35 heads can provide. Low rpm airspeed will be down with the larger heads, and that will affect torque (and mileage).
jrandy- Why wouldn't you use the 2280 in this motor?
