Thought I would include my build on the thread.
I have been building a Covin 911 kitcar, which is based on a shortened type 3 floorpan.
I have a type 1 2110cc engine built by Paul at "Harry Harpicks" with all the usual stuff fitted.
82mm Crank, 90.5mm pots,Lightened flywheel, Balanced crank-flywheel and clutch.
I am running Megasquirt V2 extra with a relay board and Bosch 3-wire idle valve.
Ford EDIS system to control spark with 36-1 toothed wheel fitted to crank pulley.
Wideband 02 sensors from 14 point 7, (DIY assemble yourself) and works great!
Modified "Mexico" F.I inlet manifold to take a 50mm throttle body and runners using Porsche 944 Bosch injectors, I think there about 220lbs. If I decide to fit a Turbo I will obviously fit bigger ones.
Garret T25 turbo from a Saab, (not fitted yet)
The dash uses Porsche 924 Instruments and was designed and built by me so I think it is unique!? and I couldnt afford a set of 911 Instruments!!
Had quite a bit of fun setting up the system but after a lot of studying its now much better.
Here is a Youtube video I did last month,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Jfu-ChcZTo
And a few pics of stuff! (Note, I took these before I fitted the bigger throttle body) The youtube vid will show the bigger one!

I am trying to source a exhaust silencer that has an entrance in the middle so I can adapt it to my existing flange and then run a tailpipe tube from left and right sides. Any ideas? The closest I can think of is a Mazda RX8 rear silencer but they are not cheap! and I dont want stainless cause I want to chop it about a bit!
