Anyone have any hints as to how to degrease a transmission ?
Trans is out of the car - on a stand all by itself.
I had envisioned maybe spraying the thing down with foamy engine degreaser and wrapping it on a garbage bag and letting it marinate for a couple days then hosing it off.
I don't have access to a power washer so that's out of the question - any hints ?
Thanks, Dan

Easy off, wire brush, and some elbow grease

Take it to the car-wash, then bring it home to get the last 10% off.

Scraper the heavy crud off first then degreaser and a trip to the car wash if you don't have a power washer. Just make sure you clean up after yourself, I hate pulling in after somebody just trashed the place and don't use the brush.

X2 on the oven cleaner. Be careful when you wash it off though. It burns some if you get it on your skin.
Collecting parts again... No I'm not going to say why!

If you do the power wash, drain the oil afterwards to get the water out.
