Seat interchange
What other seats slide into the 3 point seat rails on the 73+ models? Early Golf/Rabbit/Jettas are close but the legs are too wide. Is there any that require no modding?

Not that I know of.
The Mk1(and supposedly >Mk3) VW Vw/Audi 2 door seats rear legs needed to be widened ~3/4" total for my T3.
Not certain but highly suspect late T1s are same as T3.
The 4 door seats don't hinge for rear access.
As to modifying the legs, 3/8" per side is pretty easy to accomplish.
The seats fro a >91 Cabby work pretty nice, as to the Corrado seats, I have personally used those.
(The Corrado seats are a LOT lower)
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Re: Seat interchange
I have some Mk1 GTi seats that I was pondering for my soon to be acquired 74. Nice and comfortable but they are blue with the red fading laser/hash marks stripe in them. May look odd in an orange car and these are too nice to re upholster. 944/911 seats also come to mind.

73+ model what's? Im curious as well, if your talking about super beetles. I recently picked these 912 seats up.

Still looking for the right car though.
does anyone have pictures of a 1302/1303 with 911 seats mounted?

Still looking for the right car though.

I put passat 89 passat seats in my baja. I had to narrow the rear legs as I remember. They didn't come out perfectly inline so installing them without dislodging the white rubber slider bushings is hard.

Best upgrade ever! Especially for a 6'6" guy!! I can sit as low as a lamborghini, or at stock height. Arguably one of the sexiest upgrades I've made... I just bolted em to the chassis.Loser_Cruiser wrote:73+ model what's? Im curious as well, if your talking about super beetles. I recently picked these 912 seats up.
