Yeah that's exactly the area I was talking about..There shouldn't be anything behind that spot in a T1 case..You should be able to drill and tap it or drill it and weld an Aluminum fitting to it and then connect the oil line there...

That is a good idea. But if something happens to it offroading or whatever, I will leak out all of my oil.

Yes. That is why most offroad VW engines send the oil from the pump, into a filter and cooler, then back into the engine.
Without knowing the application, it is very difficult to assist you with this. If you want to circulate the oil without starting the engine, then you can tap into the area that was suggested. If you want to circulate oil with the engine running, you can do it the same way most people do. You can do both, but each has it's upside and down side. FWIW, if you hit the part of your engine where it was suggested you drill and tap a hole, you probably have bigger problems than a busted oil line. That would mean that something has hit the back of the engine, after going past the skidplate and rear engine cage.

I was thinking about a 1/2" tube that goes down the access way passage opening that the alternator mount bolts to. This tube can be attached to the alternator mount with a fitting there for an easy connection.

This would be ideal because if I needed to repair it I simply have to remove the alternator instead of removing the motor.

Is it possible to route a 1/2" tube so that it doesn't come into contact with any rotating parts down that area?

I just noticed this and it is an interesting question. You are very mysterious as to “the whys” which makes it hard to think in the direction you want to go.

If you are climbing hills you need the pick up in the oil at all times which means the pickup has to be long enough to get from the top to the bottom and still not hit any of the rotating parts (I am assuming by some of the things you have said that you are planning to use a secondary pump of some sort, is that true). Let’s face it; as already said, there isn't a lot of room down there to be able to wiggle around like that. If you are using a secondary pump, why use engine oil, why not have separate sources to hold oil.

Could you tap off a dry sump system (not a good idea but a possibility assuming your have a big enough one to accommodate the engine and what else you wan to lube?

Are you planning on using the stock oil cooler? If not, and you plan on using the engine’s oil pump then there are oil outlet and inlet holes there plus you can get a ready make casting with oil flow direction arrows already cast in.

Some thoughts.
