HI Guys a friend brought his Split type RGB bus for mew to have a look at
Problems it has is it gets stuck in to 1st gear
I drove the bus around the block to check it out and it happend to me aswell stuck in 1st
He reconed only way to get it out of 1st it top roll it back on a incline and play with the Gear stick
So I had no incline and started to drive it home in 1st then all of a sudden everything locked up solid
Had a real battle to get the bus home stripped out the motor and box and also stripped the box today
What I found was 4th was sized on to the shaft as it has no bearing and stuck to the shaft
!st was also still engaged and removed the pinnion shaft and by hand moved it difficould out of 1st to neautral position
Help any sugestions will be appreciated as I have never done one of these Split type RGB boxes

4th dose have a bearing. well it's more like a bushing. should be able to press it off. 2nd and 3rd have a brass bushing as well.
Also sounds like the 1st slider is binding?

Hi Thanks vwbilly I managed to replace the 4th and re bushed the nose cone bushings as they were really bad toasted and could have caused getting stuck in 1st
Drove the bus today and changes very nicely
But even with new RGB bearings these things whind like crazy the R&Pinnion

should not be too loud. Something else may be making noise? Did the rb gears look nice?
