1967 Beetle parts manual needed

Hi:

I'm putting my Fraser Nash kitcar back together and I need a 1967 VW Beetle parts manual to make sure everything goes back correctly. Ideas?

VW used microfiche; no official paper parts catalog was ever produced that I'm aware of. I have a 1971 printing of a catalog from the UNEX Products Corporation which has some exploded views, but only 41 pages - far from comprehensive.
Just what sort of things do you hope to get out of a parts book that aren't covered in a good repair manual (Bentley)?

Thanks for the speedy reply. I took the car apart a long time ago and have many tin cans full of bolts and bits of clever German engineering that are hard to identify. I also have limited mechanical experience so I thought that a parts manual would help me on the path to righteousness.

Do you think that the Bentley manual would be the best idea?

I'd recommend you have one. For any specific mysteries remaining you should be able to find all the support that you need here at the Forums.

The orange-jacketed one (`70-`79) is a more recent publication and easier to find. Not totally useless for a `67, so if you can find one cheap at a used book store you might want to pick it up, but it doesn't cover the swingaxle suspension and rear wheel bearings/seals like the blue one does. Also, the recent printings of the orange book have black-and-white electrical diagrams which are harder to read. Color diagrams are available online at vintagebus.com.
