Yes, I have changed a good bit from those pictures. The oil pan has been cut down, added a different exhaust. More of a factory style where the exhaust tips exit the original spot. Had to remove the intake pipe because the engine/ecu just didnt like it. It would idle around 1000 rpm's. So I modified the original and it idles around perfectly. I removed the seats and found a set of BWM seats from an older 3 series. They need to be recovered. The car drives great and cranks every time. The only issue I still have is when I drive the car and turn it off its difficult to crank back. The engine has to much compression for a VW started. I even tried an starter from an automatic which has a little bit more torque. There is a kit called a Crankykits built in Australia and its a adapter/gear to mount a subaru starter to a VW transmission. I also changed the sheet metal for the radiator. I am still not happy with the looks but it gets the job done.
