Do you plan to make a weber - 912 (911 cooling) setup? Where do I sign up?

As Pile mentioned , you can install it behind the shroud. But, then you won't be able to see the polished pulleys Is there any type of gap behind the alternator strap???

The crossover cable needs to go somewhere.
You can go behind the 911 fan housing, in front of it, or through it...

It would be interesting to know if the cable would have to be longer behind or in front of the shroud on a 911 cooling setup with the pulleys/carbs in the normal/rear facing orientation.

Either way, it would (probably) need to be longer, but that should be relatively easy to measure the distance throttle shaft to throttle shaft with some string and add a bit.

The setup should work just fine at any width, as long as you can get a reasonable shot at the pulleys.
Almost (but not quite) straight should produce the best long term results. (low drag/long life)

Wow! I really should check out this Type 4rum a little more often. You guys are definately ahead of the curve on a few areas . I've seen bits and pieces of Slowtwitch's awesome cable/pulley linkage in other forums, but I had no idea the real story is all in this thread . I'll share a couple pics of my home brewed cable/pulley setup, even though it doesn't hold a candle to the workmanship and simplicity of the system slowtwitch developed. I hand made these pulleys by riveting 3 layers of aluminum together, then drilling and hand filing a bit. The cables are from a company called Spectre iirc,....cheap. The only ~iffy part of my contraption is the center pivot that ties the cables together. I'd like to support the pivot shaft better....in time. Otherwise it opperates smooth and doesn't require any additional return springs to snap back to idle. Oh, and it's on a T-1, sorry .

I made my stuff over 3 years ago, by the time my project is on the road I might just be on the market for one of these Sync Link kits . Really nice work and a very reasonable price. It's about time sombody marketed a better linkage for duals on these flat-4 engines .

I have 68 cm/27 inches from throttle shaft to throttle shaft, on the backside. I run a type iv with 911 cooling in a 912.

Sounds good the system comes with a 36" crossover cable. I just sent one off to England. The fellow is installing the linkage with the carbs facing towards the front of the car.

I would like to purchase one of these setups and Have the first one In Australia if possible, i have a 2270 type 4 with V2 DTM, i also have bothe Weber 44 IDF's, Dellorto 45 DRLA's and a set of CB 48mm IDF Pattern Throttle bodies. Will your linkage cover all these carbs? Also how do you want payment and what price please, cheers Damien.
