Your math is correct, but only applicable to my custom 412/944 hybrid hubs. In other words, don't expect adapters on a 412 rotor with a 41 ET wheel to fit just like mine. My wheel mount offset is likely to be different than stock. The 205/50/17 on 7.5 wide rims is about as wide and tall as I am comfortable fitting for a street car needing a decent turning radius at this ride height. The perch-to-tire gap is about 4mm. If the ride height is higher, wider could fit.
18's could fit with lower profile tires.
