Looking great JOX.
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

I'd take the roof off at least
But that is just me.
Seriously, I would do the design and mock up with it on. Make the body removable and then take it off for final and complete welding. This will make for a strong cage. Design it with the body in place, this will help you locate all the tubes in a way that will not interfere with things like the seats, dash, door handles, ect...you get the idea.

It is not Mickey Moused.....It's Desert Engineered!

The water looked deep. Did you check it or did you just go for it?

Good to see you got her back together...
Now a "little" fiberglass and a bit of Bondo, and a couple of rattle cans, and a few minutes will take care of that small cracked front fender.

Franz's swim was epic. I'm including drain plugs and bailing buckets in my baja just cuz of it.
