Would you sell a couple pairs of the pulleys for Dells?

yeah there would be a market for those of you with the ability to just sell the pulleys. I can hack somethign ugly by hand for all the other parts, but no way of making the pully myself, and to save me 3 days of hunting down something commercial, if I when cable I would happily support a STFers VW addiction.
give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.

Things are rarely just crazy enough to work, but they're frequently just crazy enough to fail hilariously.

Check the post date before you break out the sarcasm...and that is one side of the story.

I did. And can't know any "sides" of the story except what I read here and there. So there are "sides"? You have something to volunteer, or do you just want to infer?

Petes setup and Jakes setup (assuming it ever reaches retail) are NOT in competition---
Actually at the moment, it's not even theoretically "competition" at all as Jake isn't selling one yet.

If Pete wants to make them, and people want to buy them (or parts) I simply don't see an issue.
The only reason Pete HASN'T been selling these all along was IIRC mentioned earlier in the thread...
...Mostly lack of time (and perhaps he figured Jake would get them on the market RFN, so why bother)

If he has changed his mind, good for him (and for folks who want to buy one)

Pete makes handmade/one off custom linkages, and Jake will have his own retail design. (eventually)

It's nice that Pete shared his Ideas with Jake and the rest of us, as well as the car porn.
It's nice that Jake later announced he was planning on bringing something similar to retail.
(I think I have been saying someone should for about 5 years...)

I see absolutely nothing to have a pissing contest over.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

hey pete, noh20 turned me onto this a while ago. i would love to have on of your setups. if you are intrested in making one for a set of webers and a car that gets a pretty good bit of attention i would almost give a nut for one.

Sorry Paul, I felt a disturbance in the Force and thought it sorta headed that way, my apologies if I misinterpreted.

EDIT---I really need to pay attention to the spelcheker

All great ideas are combinations of other great ideas that came before, so like Pile said:

And let's not forget who started this thread in the first place sharing his idea too!

So for those that didn't read the 914World.com thread linked here, Jake says there himself:
Jake Raby wrote:May 4 2010, 06:32 AM Pete and I talked last week... He and I have collaborated a bit about the system.
What he has been doing is totally separate from our efforts, but we have been helping each other. (Mostly him sharing with me).....................................................Lots of people want this and if at all possible I want to offer our version of it, which is quite a bit different than what Pete has done.. He has AWESOME ideas and excellent machine work, no doubt.
So there you have it. Credit/props given where they are due.
So you think your project is taking forever eh? Well you've got nothing on me.....
