Test drive - it is really very good cross country, runs nice and very comfortable ride.
Then up to Norfolk broads for a water test - still not brave enough to do it without a rope attached. I did have a guy on the shore that was instructed to keep the rope tight so as not to get dragged into the prop. Also, if things went wrong, we would have a line ready to take a chain out.
Anyway, forgive the excitement.......and that broad Suffolk bumkin accent
It all seemed to work as it should, so a proper untethered trip will be next
I'm happy to see that, even after all the hard work and borderline obsessive attention to detail, you stuck it in the water and not a museum! There is nothing like the feeling you get, after building something from scratch, seeing it in action and working as planned. Hat's off to you my friend!

Congrats on getting it in the water. Amazing work.
And I think its great you actually drove it and took it into the water. A lot of guys who build replicas will only let them sit in the garage and out at shows without ever taking them out on the road.
As before, your work is an inspiration to the rest of us. If you feel like driving it across the big salty pond, I'll happily provide (non-American) beer when you arrive.
Very impressed! Now that it floats and can move around in that medium, its time to break out the water skis and the fishing poles and have some relaxation time.
Back in the late 60's there was a guy that ran around in the group I did that had a military Duck (amphibian personnel carrier), he was not what you would call anywhere near handsome but he always had a load of girls with him. Have fun and a hardy well done. Cheers!
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.
Yup, that is it. They do have Duck tours in Seattle where they go though the downtown section then out into the bay for a view from there. I have yet to take it but the wifie-poo and some of her kids have done it. Fuel mileage in one of those is measured in gallons per mile, not the other way around.
