Really off road - like, in water !

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Thanks for the great comments guys,

Now for a little update on the replica.

After due consideration regarding the final painting, I deceided on a camoflauge scheme.

Yep, the famous - or infamous (depends on what team you were batting for in the mid 40's) 3 colour 'Normandy'. Used by the bad guys in western Europe in the summer and fall of '44.

This is the scheme, as shown here on a fantastically restored genuine typ166 from the UK. - I just love this little truck.

And 'modelled' here

And my effort to copy that scheme.

I give you a A+ :D
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

Thanks Guys,

I hope to have the maiden voyage in about 2/3 weeks time - a month at most.

A top is currectly being fashioned from a ww2 willys jeep cover.

yes, the '70 kph' is a warning about maximum speed

I don't speak German, but think it is something like "anyvone exceeding 70kph vill be shot"
