Now for a little update on the replica.
After due consideration regarding the final painting, I deceided on a camoflauge scheme.
Yep, the famous - or infamous (depends on what team you were batting for in the mid 40's) 3 colour 'Normandy'. Used by the bad guys in western Europe in the summer and fall of '44.
This is the scheme, as shown here on a fantastically restored genuine typ166 from the UK. - I just love this little truck.

And 'modelled' here

And my effort to copy that scheme.

Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

A top is currectly being fashioned from a ww2 willys jeep cover.
yes, the '70 kph' is a warning about maximum speed
I don't speak German, but think it is something like "anyvone exceeding 70kph vill be shot"

i think it says that the max swimming speed is 70kph.
