Why couldn't you just use a FI injected manifold?

I thought about, however the transition from the OD of the t/b to the OD of the intake runner is too large a wouldn't flow too well.

This allows me to use more modern fuel injectors as well more easily

What are you drilling?

nothing, that is the endmill used to cut the manifold, I didn't want to remove it since I still have to mill the other flange.

here is one mounted on one side of the motor....

I screwed up, these manifolds are for 2.0 3-bolt heads...my motor is a 1.8 with 4-bolt heads, anyone want to buy these??

(2.0 head in picture is thrashed beyond repair and for mock up use)

now to figure out the linkage....

I think you were joking, but just in case, the pictured manifolds have holes for either 3 or 4 bolt heads... (and if they didn't, they easily could)

the "outer" holes of the manifold have been filled, so right now, they will only bolt onto a 2.0 head....I'll have to drill new holes, no big deal....I have another set of manifolds in my storage shed, hopefully those are setup for a 1.7/1.8 heads already....

I do plan attempting to sell these since I have 2 complete pairs of manifolds and 2 sets of motorcycle throttle bodies and only need on set.

A buddy of mine in So-Cal made the airhorn, pretty cool to see metal spinning is still around and not a complete lost art.

Very nice work I've been thinking about using cycle throttle bodies and your work is really motivating me. Have you any thoughts on what type of air filter you will be using???

A little bit more progress....

I only have the one length velocity stack to t/b adapter tubes but it wouldn't be that hard to make a few different lengths.

You can see the overlap that I had to deal with, these are not as pretty as they should be, I screwed up and removed about .100" too much from one...no big deal, I'll figure something out

Still struggling with the aircleaner choice, I'll have a better idea once I mock these up on the motor in the car for a clearance check.

All 4 manifolds are machined and the rubber gromments are cut...



next will be linkage and air cleaners....figure another few months at the pace I get things done
