Hi guys
Figured this would be the best place to ask as its probably similar material on all AC VW. Stripping down our 72 super beetle and theres expandable foam between the back seat rest and the engine firewall, it's already causing a few rust issues that Im fixing. I've tried thinners and fire but neither had any effect, the best I've got so far is the pressure washer blasting it out.
Is there a way without cutting one of the panels out and just using the grinder?
Cheers

Maybe fabricate an expandable wire head attachment to a sleeved tool? Dremel makes a flexible shaft extension, but probably not long enough.

Gad Dale one would have to wear a face shield, goggles, hair covering, a breathing apparatus, special clothes and then PO the wife when you try to clean you clothes in the washer. An interesting idea though.Dale M. wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2019 8:59 am Maybe...

In my experience, it just makes it gummy and really just messy as it can be. Mechanical means is the best I've come up with in a lot of years... It's messy, but at least it's dry and you can vacuum it up as you go if you need a clean path to see... (Me)
Sealers and fillers like this are the armpit of old cars. Sometimes you just have to put in the physical work to get the results you want. This is one of those items that requires some work.
