Re: Mid engine 66 bug subaru powered
All back together, went with a killer b oil setup, hopefully the extra capacity and better pan design keep me from starving again.
Making a firewall at the moment and dropping the engine down 1-2”
Also getting closer to finishing the 2.5 engine I’m building for it. Still hoping for 450whp, but even 400 is going to scare me.

If you're dropping the engine down watch out for that nice oil pan you have there

Actually the oil pan doesn’t fit! I’m cutting the mount and dropping the entire thing down.

Is your IAT sensor in the intake manifold? After the TB ? Hmmm......On most builds I see them in the intake tube/plumbing before the TB. Just wondering if you've seen any heat soak with it there ?

Good question, I haven’t run this engine before so I don’t know. I never thought about that actually. Maybe I’ll have to move it.

Old setup doesn’t have one. I use a Subaru ecu on the old one. This one I’m going with a megasquirt setup

Exciting project. I saw this the other day, it was a super beetle but still some good ideas in there with his layout:
