1600 100hp
I have a 1600 with dual kadrons, I am hoping to be at 100hp. I keep drag racing dudes on the street and smokin them. It's great to find a community like this to share our street conquers. I am 24 -1. The one loss was a tricked suby on the freeway, but I was beating him till 90 or so. Would love to hear your guys stories of smoking those gay ass import cars.

On a 1600, if you have at least 10:1 compression, you can run 30mm venturis in your Kads. 9:1 usually requires 28mm vents.
You should be running 130 to 132 mains, and I highly recommend velocity stacks. An Engle 110 or 120 is a good hot steet cam, with 1.25 rockers. In fact, we run a 120 on our 1699cc Historic Sportscar Racing Ghia.
Have fun with that VW. That's what they're made for.

I had a 10:1 1641 and it made around 120 hp. With kads. W130 cam and home ported heads. Went 14.79 with dual 40 dells and slicks. Also had 90/10 front shocks and solid trans mounts.
