Lifter bores new are .7480" to .7488" diameter and maximum wear limit is .7500" ...The stock radial play is .0008"/.0024" and the wear limit is given as .0047" ....You can have the lifter bores sleeved but this would be a little expensive on a stock case.

** Stroker Rods normally available in lengths of 5.394 , 5.500" , 5.600" , 5.700" , with VW and Chev Journal diameter being used the most often.

.......Compare P&C sizes, 77mm 40hp to 94mm Big Bores
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

What is # 13 in the pic? Almost looks like an alternative alternator stand?

Its an alternator stand, US spec FI model.
Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

That's what I thought. It looked an awful lot like the alternator stand (FI) that's sitting in a box in my garage, awaiting the chance to be repurposed to a use in a CIS powered Beetle. :D

I've managed to lose one nut from the heads of a 1600DP, 1974. My 1969 type 1 motor uses larger ones - and I'm having some difficulty following the diagram for these, as several nuts appear to be in the right part of the diagram. Any idea which sizes are most likely?
