Ceramic Lifters Group Buy Underway! REVISED 11/05 with PICS

Post by speedy57tub »

REVISED 11/15/05 11 A.M. PACIFIC

I am only a couple of blocks away from the manufacturer of these ceramic lifters and I doing the group buy in order to be able to get a couple of sets for myself and hopefully to get a few for some of you too. I am not limiting the quantities for the Type 1 lifters "but" for the Type 4, I am. The reason is that Jake has rights to the lifters and I rather not disrupt his ability to get his quantities for his needs. I talked with him and he was super nice to allow me to do this. I am going to keep the quantity low and will only be able to get a limited few sets over a given time frame such as to not disrupt his supply. Jake uses these for all of his motor for real good reasons and the only other company that stocks these is WebCam for upwards of $600.00 a set (their website has not modified the pricing)!

See below pictures for more information.

I already contacted some of the first responders. For those which I have not yet contacted, below are the modified prices. I will be contacting you within the next few days.

So, for the MODIFIED pricing for a set of either Type 1 or Type 4 stock-sized ceramic lifters, please contact me:

Please note that just to keep myself on the safe side, if the price changes, please keep in mind that I have no control over that and that you might have to pay extra, I am just being cautious for my own sake. Update, I had to adjust the pricing slightly since I noticed I was too low and would end up paying out of my pocket. Insurance is going to be a tiny less more and is an option.

Also keep in mind, I am only doing the facilitating and I am not the manufacturer or am I getting into the waranteeing of these or such. I am only helping you with the transaction. As with any warantee, you'll have to deal with the manufacturer!

If interested, please email me so I can give you the details and you can be put on the list. First to pay will have a better chance to get in the group buy to secure a set. Be aware that your payment is what secures you a set.

I am doing this group-buy to help a select of you as well as myself to get a set or two of these awesome lifters. Be aware that if I am unable to obtain you a set, I will either return your check, send you a check, or pay you back via Paypal (minus their fee which may be $0.00 if I pay with a balance on my account). The reason for this is that, like I said and like to emphasize again, Jake is doing us a favor by supporting us with this and if I see there might be a chance of disrupting his supply requirement, I will do whatever to ensure he gets his stock first.

The manufacturing of these lifters is lengthy and requires several involved steps to arrive to the finished product. This might indicate some longer than anticipated lead times. This also means that some of us might have to wait a little longer or possibly not get their set. Keep in mind that after all, Jake played a leading role in the development of this lifter design and in my book, he has earned the right to the stock.

Lets all, whether you get a set or not, repay and support him by getting on his site and ordering some stuff from him. I plan to get some parts from him to build my engines. He really has some proven awesome parts and cams to compliment these lifters.

If you think you can pull this off, I am in for a type-1 set. PM for details when you get close.
Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

I will give this a little more time to get the lsit up. I will start to email some of you as you respond to me via email. Looks like most of you are preferring Paypal, I am still open to accept payment the other way but the quicker I get payment, the better placement you get on the list. I will reply via a Paypal invoice to your email and as soon as I get notification and confirmation of your payment, I will place you name on the list. I will give some of you a chance to pay via other methods in the best way I can. The quantities are going to be limited, as I mentioned in the post for a good reason. A couple of you are also interested in the Type 1 lifters, great since they are easier to procure!

LIFTER PICTURES ADDED!

Post by speedy57tub »

I added images of samples I currently have in my possession. One is a Type 1 and the other Type 4. Like I've said, there are no quantity restrictions for the Type 1 lifters but the Type 4 will be limited.

Just to clarify your original post, I do stock both the type 1 and type 4 ceramics, and actually have two sets of both in stock, fyi :-)
