Making a Mold?

Post by Coils »

Can anybody here point me in the right direction for info on making a mold out of an existing part?
I would like to remake some parts out of fiberglass but not to sure on where to start.

check this site out

this guy is building a one off car, so he's got lots of info on plug building and mold making. his methods aren't really the best way to do things, but definatly easier if its your firs time.

Jean & Shadowbug thanks for the links but I should have been more clear on my post. I don't know squat about making a mold and need to know where is some idiot guides to doing this, whether it be web sites or books to buy. I need something that explains the fundamentals of this.
Thanks again. John

Skully thanks for the link. Lancaster is about 45 minutes east of Harrisburg and an hour or so west of Philadelphia.
I appreciate the offer but I think Loisiana is a little far of a drive from PA.
