Crank to Cam Clearance???
Hopefully you'll have room everywhere, crank to case, cam, rod to case, cam, deck height, ect... In case you accidentaly spin a bearing, get a rod knock...
I hope this won't happen, but a problem like this would blow up an otherwise re-buildable motor.
I would shoot for .040" everywhere if possible.

Crank to Cam Clearance???
Then it appears that I have a crank to cam clearance problem. I have an 84mm Bugpack crank with Porsche rods and T1 mains. I have a Web-Cam 86b that has been factory clearanced for stroker. There appears to be no problem with clearance rod to cam, but I have as little as .025" clearance on the crank cheek next to the #3 rod journal, and the #3 intake lobe. The lobe is pointing straight up when the crank cheek is pointing straight down. I can get no more than a .025" feeler gauge between the two. All the other places where the crank and cam can "meet" are also around .035". The way I see it, I have two options:
1.) Grind some material off of the crank at these places. I've already had my engine balanced to the tune of $150. If/when I grind off material from the crank to get proper clearance, can I get away with just re-balancing only the crank? Even if I can expect to have a properly balanced rotating assembly after re-balancing only the crank, I don't think it would be cost effective.
2.) I believe this is the more cost effective way to do it. Give up on the Web-Cam 86b, sell it (it is unused) and buy a Gene Berg GB 310 or GB 311 cam already clearanced for the rods and with "extra lobe clearance" for the crank with the hopes that I then will not have to clearance/rebalance the crank. Thoughts???

Crank to Cam Clearance???
Perhaps you could have Delta Cam ( in Tacoma) regrind your cam to get your clearance. Tim
