Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Has anyone ever built anything like these? Also check out our website. http://www.mobuggy.com/photo/displayimage.php?pid=97

Arms like that have been made for over twenty years. I raced with arms of that style in the late 70s. If they are built right they are plenty strong.

GDRBO, Did you run the bus bearing. I made these to use the Vanagon style bearing housing so I can use disc breaks and change out the hub easily. I was wondering if the bearings and housings were going to be durable enough.

The bearings should be fine however the housing are suspect. The arms I run have 4130 bearing housings. Yours are cast steel. See www.precisionalloy.com for 4130 housings that use bus bearings.
