offroad bus....

a few months ago i saw a post i think on another message borad about buses that have been raised up a little , nobby tires, big 3/4 roof racks, beefed up sus etc... i would like some more info on how this is done or maybe some places i can go ( internet) to learn about this type of outfitting...thanks

better yet, i am gonna see if i can get some guys to post pics for me on this board

by the way, thanks for all the info about the starting hotwire switch!!! that helps alot, i would have never thought of that.

derf this`ll get you started on the baja busses. I`m partial to the white bay panel and the grey double. How bout you.
The wire stuff is a basic toolbox item for VW work. Be sure to have a supply of clean fresh fuel coming to the engine.Bob

I WISH I HAD A SCANNER , id load some pics of my old 68 camper.
we called it the hippie hummer, it had a rack, KC light bar , bumper lights,lifted with rancho susp,and 32 inch good year alterains tires.
i have pics of me getting full air off the ground. plus it was my daily driver for 5 years. there was no wear it couldnt go . i miss it .

I think discount tire direct has 15" steel wheels for bays if that is what you mean? Not sure how flexible widths are though?

I bet you can get those white wheels un drilled and tap them for what ever you want.
