Just had a "mechanic" overhaul the brakes on my 72 sb vert. He replaced the mc...now I have a hard pedal. I mean really hard... I start off with about 1.5 or maybe 2 inches of pedal travel that quickly goes to no travel at all after 4 or 5 miles of driving...I don't want to take it back to this knucklehead...could it be a bad mc or maybe an adjustment that I can take care of myself...
Thanks for any and all advice...

First check that your pedals are working freely and that the stop on the floorboard is adjusted to allow the brake pedal to come up so it's ≥200mm (~8") from the underside of the pedal to the pan crossmember. Clean out any dirt or pebbles that might be getting in the way, too.
The M/C pushrod needs to have a little freeplay to assure that the pistons can come back far enough to uncover the compensating ports so fluid can return to the reservoir when it gets hot & expands. Anything detectable will do, but the spec is 1mm at the pushrod which equates to ~¼" at the pedal. If necessary, after verifying that the pedal action and position are OK, you can adjust the pushrod length to set the freeplay.
