Yeah...that was cool...but do you know what would be REALLY cool?
Buy this car...and with the money left over, buy a 4,000 square foot home and shop...and still build more power.
Oh...and that's only a V6 too.

Scott,
aren't you the one who built the engine in that car? I remember you guys were putting the finishing touches on it when I picked up the engine for my boat.

In that last vid...that is Winchester bay...I have seen the rail down there before...As a matter of fact...he must live close by...because I can't remember a time when I have not seen him out there.

Actually...I was kind of thinking it was a good example of why not to use a motorcycle engine in a sandrail. That thing went from about 13,000 rpm to about 1,300 rpm in about half a second when he let out the clutch.

It did recover pretty fast though, didn't it...

Needs one of those flywheels like on a steam donkey. May take 9 or 10 minutes to get up to RPM...but would be hard to stop once it was.

Sorry I'm still learning my way around here ...
Here's a VID I posted under a topic alreay going ...
---------------------------------------------------------------
For those of you that want to get a taste of what it was like at Ridgecrest, check out this video. Typically there are a few videos that get shot and put on the net. However, most of the camera operators key in on the high dollar classes. This one shows A LOT of little guys (meaning cheaper classes).

The list below is what to watch for if you looking for 5/1600 bugs.
Time - Driver - Car color

2:43 Garavito (blue, silver)/Aspel (white)/Vinaja (yellow)/D.Sancehz (white)
4:47 Garavito
5:14 Pellerin (black)/Tolbert (orange)/Vinaja
7:21 Garavito
8:55 Tolbert
9:39 Garavito

There's also some good action shots of Class 11 bugs (Stock) including a nose to tail with three of them together.

The vid is a whooping 12 mins and a hefty 20mb.
