They are not concerned that you have to machine the heads.....
They assume that YOU know what you are doing.

Get a friend's T1 HD dual springs and try to install them on your head....
WITHOUT machining..........

starting on the cooling tinn.
did some sandblasting before I start welding the stuff.
here's the tool I use to trace shapes, that and cardboard makes it quite easy

I'm using that exact same profiling tool for my tinware!!! The secret weapon is out...I didn't use it there tho' :wink:

One thing for you to consider at this early stage is to make allowances for any changes in the distance between the heads, as in head fly-cut/cylinder shimming as needed, later down the road, to get your CR where you want it. The tins will be very stiff, when finished.

The blasted steel looks great!!!

I hope to have most of my cooling in black paint this weekend, that will be a milestone :) It's almost smooth enough.

did a temporary mockup today. so I can start to figure out how to route
the runners from turbo etc.
starting to look like a motor don't it :)

Looks great! I would suggest changing that bend after the exhausthousing! It is very restrictive if it's the original saab!

thanks Jonas, yes it's the original Saab
do you know if its possible to cut the flange of that bend and migweld a new bend to it?.
