Hi. Just wanted to throw this out there. I know that it's not the best time of year to go, but what the heck. Class11streeter and I are going to sell some stuff and hang out. We'll try to do dinner the night before. We'll be going in my bus, but I might have a buddy follow me in the T4 70 for back up!.

If you guys want to hang out holla at me.

Late,

E.

Great idea to post Eddie. It's only been TWO YEARS since we got together with Tuna and @itagain so it's due.

We are still in the initial planning stages, we might be up at the overflow section with another buddy of mine with American stuff, or if he bails on me we will definitely be in the VW section. If we end up in overflow we will have the only VW bus there.

More details to follow when we know for sure.

See ya there! 8)

Cool! Class11 emailed me about this a few weeks ago and I said "Heck yeah, I'm there!" I hadn't heard if Eddie was going to make, so I'm pleased to hear that we'll have at least three T4 nuts.

Jake, thanks. Contact me about getting me the funds. I'll bring my digital camera (as usual) and take some pics of the dinner and the meet.

So, who all is going, and where do we want to go for the dinner?

Tuna

Now we're talkin'!. Thanks again Jake. It was good talking to ya about my 2.6 project. I can't wait to see the heads that Len's gonna put together for me.

Tuna, it'll be great to see you again too. It's been a long time man. I hope it doesn't rain this time!

Twystd1, I say the more the merrier. I'd love to meet the 'Teener' guys being that I have a 914 too. Hopefully some good will rub off on me from you guys.

Monte, we're gonna pack that busy bro. I may bring a few things to sell also.

Take care,

Eddie.

I'll speak for myself and say "The more, the merrier!". :-) It will be great to have more people there. The 914 is still T4 powered, and if you are interested in the engine and it's performance, you'll fit right in. Make sure you check in here regularly for the details.

No, he doesn't have to, but he likes to. It's Jake's way of being there. He paid for dinner for Eddie, Monte (Class11), and myself at Dave&Buster's at the Ontario Mills two years ago. We had a good time there, talking about T4s, the VW scene, and even some Porsche stuff. Jake's starting a tradition for this biannual December meeting. ;-)

Actually, I'd like to have more get togethers throughout the year. Events like the VW Classic, Bug-In, and the VW Panic are all obvious events to attend. I'd also like to find some events, besides Pomona, that are open to both Porsches and VWs.

By the way.
I am part of the crew over at 914club.com
I have been a lurker here for over a year. I simply want to get more involved in what you folks are doing over on this board.
Most of us Teener guys live and breath T4s.

I am pretty dam sure If we put the word out you can have a grip of friendly "Teeners" at any gathering you choose. We get together a bunch of times a year.
Like once every couple of weeks. Either for a light off party or an engine pull party or someone has a cold party... Were kinda fuch-ing crazy that way.....

And just like this board. Most of us like Jake. A lot...

I think primarily because he is absolutely nuts and kinda funny looking to boot..

Yup... he fits right in with the crew..... And we with him.....

I am grateful for the invite. Just tell me where and what time.

And lastly. Thanks to all of you men that think way outside the box. You guys have spurred me on to look at what is possible on the air cooled scene. Especially the Northern Europeons and the Turbo guys over here and world wide and their need to make ANYTHING work with out worrying about it being perfect. They are like a human dyno.. Just keep trying simply to learn.. They come up with engine combos that are so outside the box it's crazy. And fun. And they do it on the cheap.

Then there is Jake, Ham, Crusty, Brad, Tuna, DD and all of the men that have dug the well for many of us. All we have to do is drink the water.

I Like this place....

I liked the human dyno comment. That's definately me. Thinking outside the box keeps me sane...Jonas is a perfect example too. Gotta love that guy! Too bad he's not in the states.

Hope to see ya out there.

If ANYONE wants to join the dinner, its all on me, just chime in and let Tuna know a number so I can send enough cash!
