5x100 wheels 1967 beetle

Post by vwinwv »

Just wondering if anybody has any idea where i could purchase front brake drums for a 1967 beetle drilled to a 5x100 bolt pattern. I found rear drums a couple of places but no front. Thanks!

Presumably you've found long-spline rear drums that'll need to be cut down to fit on `67 axles.
I've never seen any 5x100 (or undrilled) balljoint front drums either; unless you convert to disc brakes you'll probably have to have some `68-up 4x130 fronts redrilled. They'll fit the `66/`67/early`68 spindles provided the correct inner bearing & grease seal is used.

Is there any place that you know of that has adapters for 5x205 to the 5x100?

You'd probably stand a better chance of finding some to go from 5x130 or 4x130 to 5x100 (but then you'd still have to change drums). Write one of these guys and see if they can make you some:

You will probably have to buy blank drums and have them drilled. I couldn't find any predrilled ones when I was looking so I bought blanks.
