Well, LN Engineering's ceramic lifters have a very good rep. Much more expensive than the Web ones.

There are several other lifter manufacturers out there. Some people have used all of them and had them work just fine. Others have had the lifters go bad and eat the cam. Ya pays yer money and ya takes yer chances....

What about Web Cam lifters and then Cryo them?
Any data, because I know there are a lot of opinions? It would be very inexpensive.

The CB lifters are a one piece design and weigh 135 grams!

The Web Cam lifters are nowdays far from my favorite choice.

It got so scary here with the topic that I had to swap to Ceramics 100%

I'm being offered a set of Johnson lifters. I have had difficulty finding complete information on the net regarding their use in the 914 engine. Does anyone have good informaiton regarding their use, quality, price and lognivity?
Thanks,

"Get Pictures first, post here. Make sure they ARE real Johnsons"
Use search...

Or just get the reground/polished/parkerized ones from Aircooled.net, (these are NOT used, just precision reground to Johns specs)

John stands behind his stuff.
I _Strongly_ suggest getting cam/lifters/oil pump from him, he will replace them all if required _if_ bought from him and the cam dies)

Ceramics are cheap insurance if your time is worth _anything_.
Go that way and get on with life.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
