God no's why photo bucket do this. I've seen it before with other dubbers photos , I'll bet they want money. I see if I can fix it.
My carb is an SU HS8.

Photobucket does want money but if you use Mozilla Firefox as a browser they made an add on that will allow you to see photobucket photos....
I'll find the link and post it tonight...

Interesting setup. A few questions...GARRICK.CLARK wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2017 5:34 am
Hi Udo.
SO I've gone from draw through SU to Blow through with the same SU carb
1. What is the pipe coming up under the carb? A preheater?
2. How did you sort the tinware around the back of the motor? Did you just leave it open like that?

Hey thanks Clone.
Pete, the tin ware were the front pulley isn't there, just the CSP head tins. The heater out lets on the fan shroud are cut off and plated, gotta 356 top pulley fitted. There is a good amount of air blowing through the heads. If I rev it at idle the air blown through the heads will move leaves/dust/etc from under the car(The area directly under the heads)
Do you mean the 90 degree blue pipes, If so that's from the turbo out pipe to the front of the carb.

Thanks CloneBug, that works
Cool setup Garrick, how much HP/torque do you run? I alos see plenums? No problem since air and fuel are passing them?
I'm planning to make an intake with central weber 44.

Hi Udo,
I'm unsure on Hp/Torque ,not been to a dyno yet. Its a 2"manifold to the Inlet manifolds, They are welded CSP manifolds. The turbo out pipe and hoses are 2" so is the Carb. I thought it might be too big a diameter but it seems fine. To start it I just lift the choke lever on the carb and wait for the engine to draw some fuel from the Jet. Takes about 20 seconds to catch, During this 20 seconds the oil light has then gone out as well. My draw through set up used to warm up the starter it took that long to catch.

Ok thanks Garrick, 20sec starting.. for me too long
Some updates on my engine.
- Got the flyheel modded to fit on my type 1 trans (replace needle bearing)
- ordered intake pipes/ turbo hoses to make 1 central weber carb at the back of the fan house.
Then I will test start the engine, and put it in the car .. after that I will make a exhaust muffler + connect the AFR.. and then the fun may begin..

Thanks, yes Blow through... (ha my son made them when he was 1.5 years old, thanks)
Yesterday started the engine with only the carb. It was running perfect, but one problem.. the blue intake hoses are squeezing.. so I need to make them from steel.. grrr
I was also forgotten that there was sitting some old fuel in the turbo.. lol (yes there was no hose connected) It felt like a shower
I'm also at a point now to make a intake plenum on top of the IDF carb, anyone idea's how to make this myself ? (I cannot weld aluminum)
Thanks.
