I think I might see if I can run it in the tunnel. But I don't know how well it needs secured along the way. I've never been into a tunnel before.

Ok she's all ready to run. Need to get a new cable run still but the old set up "works". Need to pick up a new battery too. Oh and I put a spacer under the carb to see what it does. I didn't have the correct bolts so I need to get those too.
I really dislike my fan shroud. Can I run something more like this? http://www.jbugs.com/store/merchant.mvc ... ns-shrouds
I also hope I can run a short style distributor cap. Get it away from the heat a little more.

Yeah cool. I just used that one for an example. No special love for that particular one. Looks like it would provide some extra room for stuff in there too!

Weird. I have always had a stumble coming off idle with my car. I upped the squirter size to a 34 (from 31 which is already big) and put the second to most aggressive pump cam on my carb and it cleared up. Just seems huge for that small 450 carb on a tiny stock engine.

A few sizes bigger and I would have had to go to a 50cc shot. Doesn't make much sense to me with such a little engine, but maybe it needs to to keep up with the air it lets in.

That's a long intake you have to get the fuel through....draw through has always had that issue....especially when cold.....

Yeah? You know the other thing I have always found odd is that my car starts instantly hot or cold everytime. Doesn't even turn over, just starts. Maybe because there is always plenty of fuel laying around in that intake.

Are these super cheap manual boost controllers any good. I figure it's a pretty simple mechanical device and not much that can go wrong. My car would never over boost enough to hurt it anyway so I'm not too worried about it failing.

Oh wow that is really cheap. I wonder how well it would perform. Not much risk if its a dud. I'd say give it a try.
