Looks like the perfect camping rig for a buggy! Nice. I guess you can put a regular mattress in there? Comfortable sleeping is key. Now what about that AC??
Jeff
AC certainly isn't needed around here since we rarely get above 80 degrees......especially this year which looks to be a wet one.
My wife is looking at an Air Mattress to replace the original 2 inch high density foam one. It has seen it's better days.
With a width of 66 inches we can use any number of air mattresses available....It should sleep good.

How long would it take for your turbo to blow up two mattresses?
Your trailer looks to be heavier than the weight you gave, sorry about the post but it is something that needs to be discussed especially after a few of the incidents I have been involved with.
I was also surprised to read that small trailers were using surge brakes as I thought their use now days was only for boat trailers as they can be immersed in water so the electronic brakes would not be useful. Live and learn!
Lee
My opinion is worth slightly less than what you paid for it.

That would be a really useful accessory, but other campers might take it wrong when you are spooling it up, preloading the clutch against the brakes to make boost... An automatic would be better for that.
A compressed air tank stored in the trailer might be a better plan, but way less interesting.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
A full anti-lag setup might be fun at the campsite as well...
No need of automatic weapons to make noise, and doubles as a flame thrower...

If you're camping in a cold climate, foam is better than inflatable. When the air in the mattress gets cold it goes down. Don't ask me how I know this..
I've been plugging away at the wiring and the hitch.
The hitch is finished with a spot to hook the safety chains.....
The wiring plug is installed at the hitch and I have run a new harness from the front to the back dedicated for the trailer hitch. It is five wires and will go to a converter installed in back where it will go to 4 wires at the bumper.
I hope to finish it tomorrow afternoon.

I finished up the wiring to the trailer and it all works great.
Took it for a little test ride and it pulls the trailer like it's not even there.
I used a 5wire to 4 wire converter that I installed by the engine that cost me $11.99 plus tax. It works like a dream so far.
The wiring is neat and tidy and fairly easy to get at.
We are going to give it a test camping in a couple weeks. This coming weekend is booked with the Motorhome so it will have to sit home.

Nice work... hang on, did you say you ALSO have a motor home?!
Yes Pete We have a Motorhome too.
It's a 1982 Ford TransAire that was in the family for many years.
It was too cheap to pass up and besides.......Happy Wife....Happy life.
She paid for it and it has a bathroom.
I hope to get rid of it in a year or so and use the trailer instead.

Making your wife give up luxury? Let me know how you go with that.
Ha! No doubt. I feel like I would have a bit of trouble getting my wife to camp in our Westy after letting her experience the comfort of a motorhome. For now, she still loves the Westy though, so no complaints from me
Clone, slick looking setup you have there. I'm sure it looks different in person, but any worries about the exhaust cooking the camper shell?
