Fysical size doesn't probably tell the whole story here

Re: 2,23 ltr type 4 turbo build-up
Its an 'intergrated' Boost Control Valve. You can also see the intergrated BOV and on the bottom (not really visable) is a pickup point for a shaft speed sensor . All these items are a standard part of these turbo's: EFR: Engineered For Racing
The turbine wheel is made from Ti-alumid alloy and half the weight of an inconel wheel as seen on other turbo's like a GTX, whatever Gen they are
Plus of course the forged billet alu compressor wheel with 65 lbs flow capacity and the duel row ceramic ball bearing cardridge and the stainless steel twin scroll housing with V-band.
You can tel I like these. A lot

Re: 2,23 ltr type 4 turbo build-up
I have wondered if the greased (sealed) ceramic bearing turbos might work on an ACVW---
no oil flow, need the lower EGT of a long tube setup, but can be mounted any orientation.
Just musing, slick setup, as expected.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

These turbo's do use an oil feed (and return obviously) however, same as any other turbo.Piledriver wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2017 2:28 am I have wondered if the greased (sealed) ceramic bearing turbos might work on an ACVW---
