Help with trans issue
Hi all - I have a KCR Super Street Plus transmission (Swingaxle) in my Oval and when pulling the motor recently the input shaft came out. The trans only has about 250 miles on it and cant really go back to KCR as I'm in the UK. My question is, to get in to have a look and hopefully repair the issue (the issue which i believe is the threaded stud between the input and main shafts) do i remove the passenger side cover? Once thats removed does the superdiff just come out easy enough or is this best left to the pro's?

The diff shouldn't have to come out.
Occasionally the input shaft coupler fouls the diff and can't slide back far enough to allow install of the 7mm stud. Then the ring gear side would need backing off.

So if i remove the passenger side cover i should be able to have room to get in? Is there a chance of doing this with the trans in the car?

You will have to define what you consider "passenger side"
But I would try the starter side plate first and while I have never tried that in car it might work if one can clean the frame horn.

Your joining stud has self-threaded. There are a number of causes for this, but only one for-certain cure.

The old joining stud should be replaced with the newer version:

Do NOT screw the two shafts tightly together. You must back off 2-3 splines before sliding the joining sleeve into place. If you fail to do this, you may end up with a snapped mainshaft. You WANT a sloppy feeling input shaft. This is how the quill shaft design is supposed to feel.

Pablo - thanks for the links - I have already looked through those. I've never removed a diff before - I'm assuming it comes out as one allowing access to the shaft?
