Not really a "kit" car, but it is fiberglass!
I have been fortunate enough to acquire the 1908s Little Giant Killer 3 drag car body and a rolling chassis to mod for putting under it. I pick the car up some 800 miles away in a bit less than 2 weeks. I'm hoping to have it back on the track by May of 2017. This was the car that got me interested in VW powered racing back in high school. I can't wait to actually go down a track in it!
Anyway, here is how she sits and then how she used to look.

Awesome bit of history scored!
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

There are no guts. I get the body and a pan. The car was a body and a mid-engine chassis.

Too bad the original race chassis isn't handy.
Even if out of date for NHRA rules etc, it might be worth redoing it based on that design.

No pictures even?vwfye wrote:Yep... i inquired from Lloyd and the gent i purchased from.
...I mean rebuild like that design, no actual chassis needed.
From a historic value it would be OK to reroll frame from scratch to modern standards, esp if intent is to race.

Huh? I am going to try and save the paint and run the body on a modified pan and as a rear engine car instead of a mid-engine. The goal is for it to be as visually similar as possible to how it looked in the 80s.Piledriver wrote: ...I mean rebuild like that design, no actual chassis needed.

I was just saying this might be the last time to get photos/dimensions etc in case you or anyone ever wanted to do a "correct" chassis for it someday.vwfye wrote:Huh? Still very cool project!
RE: Current avatar(Dalek Haynes Manual)
Got the idea from Ray, who had a most awesome Apollo command module Haynes Manual.
The particular Dalek Manual I use is actually a buyable item in "Second Life", but not a meatspace item, sadly.
There is a version you can physically buy on Amazon but it doesn't cover all models

Re: Not really a "kit" car, but it is fiberglass!
After thinkning about it a little while I did the Amazon search and found they had nothing for now... So I took my search elsewhere and found there are approximately 5 versions of Dalek Manuals, and the one I think I need is the one that is specifically for the Imperial Dalek... Thanks for the help...

Working on the chassis/cage right now. Looks narrow and top heavy right now without the width of the floor.
