Pros:
No need to fix a return line to the tank
Ease of install

Con,
People say it causes issues with fuel warming up and causing issues as its recirculates.

I'm going to be using one as its easy to make a 12mm outlet from and 8 return. Will see how it goes :) might clean up the casting flash inside the T peice first for better flow from the tank

What about venting air bobbles.... There must be a high chance that they are going to circulate in the fuellines

How about a swirl pot between tank an pump to bring return line into and a place for any possible bubbles to escape...

Swirl pot still returns to the tank if I remember right.

I just did an in tank pump in my car. I tapped the stock outlet to 1/4npt and run my return into that spot. I run my pressure line out the of the top of the fuel pump hanger. No welding on the tank at all. Works really well. Pump is nice and quiet. I'll never build an inline pump setup again.

Photos here. No stock sender. Just poked a new hole and purchased a little hardware from http://tanksinc.com

Do you have a different sending unit and gauge?

My gauge is when the car stops running cuz it's out of gas. 1960 didn't come standard with a gauge, just like seat belts, and radios

You can get a small fuel-safe ultra sonic liquid level transducer with 0-5v output. Slap that on your pump hangar assembly and tie it into your ECU.

Sounds fancy. Wouldn't mind having an idiot light for fuel level. I'll look into that. Thanks for the info!

float switch then would be easy, set it to a set height on your pump mount so when the level drops below that you can get a small LED light up or something?

along these lines

I actually have something just like that in my water meth tank. It is hooked to the ecu to drop boost when the tank is low. Might be able to work something similar for the fuel although I have no problem doing something linear that the ecu can monitor(put a gauge on the ms dashboard) and then can kick a light on at a set point.
