Either, your call really, most people are using whatever they have, ive used both, but i prefere the early rear main bearing to the 2.1 3 piece, the 2.1 has a couple of mm extra in the case top for a stroker, but with a turbo you dont kneed a huge stroke, i recon a 76/78mm stroke is a great choice and goes in a 1.9 easy, ive had 82mm in 1.9s, but for a huge stroker, say 86/88mm atmo, a 2.1 case may be usefull.

I heard that people use 1.9 for drag so what makes that decision?
i read somewhere that 1.9 has got bigger bearing shell , so all old engines wassers has got bigger ?
And... for now i choose mv engine and i see that dj has got bigger throttle valves than 1.9. Did mv has bigger too?
For stock engine with turbo which cmashaft is better to use? I;m from Poland so i thonk i will buy it in:

I have big turbo( i don;t know how this will work with this engine ( holset h2A 50mm/65mm).

Older cases use the pin secured bug style bearings.Later ones using Chevy style with the notches...I prefer early blocks as they use the more reliable on piece thrust bearing...But these are really hard to found in good condition and in STD size...

hm. ok i understand now. So another question is which cooler system is better 1.9 early or 2.1 later.
i have termostat in 2.1 in the front of engine but in 1.9 i have him near the water pump, but when i open engine i saw in the left side of engine there was a lot of dirt and cancer so it can be because mass transfer of watr there i worse than right side...
