Lend a hand to the STF

Hello Type 4 folks!

As some of you know, I've been a member here on Shoptalk Forums since the beginning. STF has always been a site that was provided free access to tons of information about the aircooled VW and to some of the most friendly and knowledgeable VW people on this planet.

Doc, the current owner of STF, has long resisted solicting money from the STF visitors. He personally has paid all of the costs to keep the site alive and running. These costs can really add up. He didn't want to clutter the pages with advertisements and deal with advertisters, but he needs help to keep STF available and to provide a future with new features.

In the top right corner of the page, you will see a "Donate" Paypal button. All donations are welcome. There is no pressure to donate, but if you really find STF helpful, give a small donation. Your donation will help to ensure that the future of the site is bright and it will continue to provide us with a great place to meet other VW folks and learn more about our passions.

So let's help Doc out and provide him the resources to allow STF to grow and to add new features in the future.

Doc just shared that STF has received over $690 so far in donations. The goal is $1000. The $1000 goal will enable him to pay for the update to the STF software to a better version with many news options.

One new option he's hinted at is picture hosting! You could upload your VW pics here and not have to deal with another web site for the pictures. It would be so much easier.

I encourage anyone who hasn't made a contribution, please do so. Remember Doc doesn't charge for this site and he doesn't have advertisements.

Dropped some in there, not much, hope it helps. To that I want to add my most heartfelt thanks to everyone on this forum. It is very seldom these days that people are willing to give away something that they can charge money for, but that is exactly what this forum and members do. Valuable information and most of all experience is available to everyone across the whole world, to learn from and keep their vw's going.

I've been reading this forum now for more than 3 years and I'm still learning everyday. May this spirit of sharing be alive for as long as there is still even just one aircooled vw still running out there.

When I need accurate, detailed, trustworthy information, there is only one place I go, and thats right here.
