WTB front end adjuster

Post by Ol'fogasaurus »

I need at least one adjuster that goes on the upper ball-joint. I have the other one, assuming I can get it separated from the old ball-joint. Two adjusters would be nice, just in case.

If you can wait until Saturday I can dig through my pile of parts.
Should have some in there.

Thanks for checking DWP, sorry it took me to long to get back but I am having on and off again problems logging in so the reply must have come in while I was not able to view things.

I am still looking for a thing eccentric/adjuster. Need one for sure, maybe a second one if we can't press the one off the BJ.

Lee, ask a machinist (perhaps Jerry at NWCR) if they can ream out regular Beetle eccentrics to the 181 size...

Marc, I know you live somewhere close to me but I don't recognize the NWCR name. Are the Think and type I eccentrics the same except for the BJ hole? Do you know off hand the reamer size?

Thanks, Lee

Don't know the 181 BJ stud size off the top of my head, but the eccentrics are otherwise the same.

Thanks Marc. I've lost most of my connections with the motor sports world in the last few years. I got old, they got old, some got gone.
