I am about to do my first CIS install in a bay bus. Do any of you perhaps have some pics of "your" install, and care to share them with me. Then I would really appreciate it. That will help me to not having to invent braces and locations again.
You can put them here, if its ok with the moderator, or in my Email
I thank you in advance.

This isn't going to help much, but the EFI bays have a really solid mount for the air cleaner.
The only major mount required for CIS will be one for the metering unit at that air cleaner location, such that the ouput hose hits the L-Jet S hose... (If you want ~100% factory parts, just from different vehicles)
An early Golf plastic air meter<>TB bit will probably work perfect.
The only other significant "mount" will be for the CPR<>Block, assuming you are using basic CIS.
I like the CIS-E fuel pump/sump/filter setups. Works fine with a facet as a feeder, at least at "normal" power levels.
I can send you pics of my 914 install, but the Bay should be FAR easier.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Just wanted to say the facet as a CIS feeder was JAKES idea...
He uses it on the above install IIRC.
I am always delighted to borrow a good idea

Exellent. It was "that" picture of Jake engine compartement I had in my head, but just couldnt get it al placed.
One other thing. How did you make the jet holders ? Did you take something from another car, or did you make something up ?
Also, where did you mount the coldstart or choke feeler ?
Answers to that, or even pics, would be dandy.
thanx.

My holders were turned from Aluminum and welded into the manifold.
A friend of mine, No H20, who frequents the board did a CIS install a few months ago and he modified valve retainers to do the job with the stock clamps and it worked well..
PM him -I'm sure he'll share. He loves his CIS as much as I do

I made mine from 1/2" tubing and modded valve spring retainers, clamp in like L-Jet injectors. (another idea at least partially stolen from here) very easy to make.
can e-mail pics if you like.

Ok. Thanx to all. That gets me something to go for. No need to invent the wheel more than once.
Piledriver, I would appreciate a picture of your holders. - I´m the type of guy that sorta needs to see things once to be able to get my ideas, or even copy other peoples good ideas
Oh, well, now its out
