On a ball joint front end, is there another way to adjust the wheel bearings other than using the screw on pinch clamp?
I have a disc brake set up which came with new bearings and a really small dust cap, which is great for the wheels I want to run, but the pinch clamps, even though I have NOS german ones with a really recessed socket head, that part of the clamp still interferes with my dust cap.
The bearing kit came with a cotter pin and some sort of funky metal cap to fit over a nut with all sorts of (like 10 of 'em) tangs sticking up. Makes me think that in germany they might have some sort of double nut set up.
Anyone have any ideas, and know where I might find this kind of set up? Thanks
