The Beetle has been on the road for a year now, and really hasn't missed a beat mechanically, thankfully - still haven't changed the caliper bolt that I had to acquire during my first test-drive  ...Last little tune-up revealed about 20% more throttle as the Bowden tube must have finally found 'home' at one point...and I picked-up some Wolfsburg West replacement headlight buckets - much better fit/finish than the Rossi's - Which main problem seems to be rusting and lack of decent adjustability - and the passenger fiberglass fender needs the (re-pop OEM) range to keep from lighting up the trees ;) The 16" front tires will need replacement in the fall, they've been on the rims since I was in HS.

The 964 5-spoke 16x8's (w/195/50's up front and 215/40's on back) really look better on the Corrado...My buddy has ran with so much excessive negative camber the 195's they'll be replaced soon for another pair of 215/40's likely. Doing an E-code headlight conversion w/custom wiring harness to H4's next.

We pulled the engine to install the FI heat-exchangers/corresponding sheetmetal and 4-2-1 exhaust setup w/streetbike silencer - the old exhaust had torched-out a portion of the tube where it met the #1 carburetor heat-exchanger:

Also an older shot of Mario's custom alternator/starter cables (on a generator only for mock-up):

Still messing around with acceptable storage/cup holders/DC outlets...Now there's a hole through the fiberglass console with a short portion of exhaust tubbing stuffed-in, in order to hold a pop-can shaped styrofoam organizer. A collapsible Subaru cup-holder just over that one, and beside it another power outlet.

My Pal is just about finished with a laminate class where he's been playing with fiberglass/cabonfiber/kevlar materials, so maybe we can figure out how to 'finish' the top of the console where it meets the underside of the dash.
