i've tinted every window that i can but the rear. i can't keep it from bubbling up due to the curves. if anyone has any ideas that would be great

You could try calling a tint shop and see if one of the installers will give you a tip or two.southsidebugs wrote:i've tinted every window that i can but the rear. i can't keep it from bubbling up due to the curves. if anyone has any ideas that would be great

read the directions very carefully. they should state you need to clean the surface very good. i usually take a strong cleaning solution and a razor blade with a good scouring pad. if the glass has any chips or little pits it's going to bubble. when it does just put a little pin hole in the center of the bubble and keep chasing it out.
another good tip is to apply in a shaded area like a garage or shop. the tint should be warmed up and the glass too. use as much soap solution you can when first applying the tint. then it's time to chase them bubbles.
most of the job is the prep. if done right the application should go really smooth.
to avoid scratches use a body putty scraper with a soft rag wrapped around it.
