Lotrat,

Very good catch! This guy signed up back in March and then didn't post for months. they are the hardest to catch. You just have to find them and ferret the bastards out.

So, at least, somebodies reading the forums.

I missed the susanshaw augmented breasts post. Either that or I left it on purpose.

The dynamat one I'll leave. the guy is using no signature or special contact stuff, so let's chalk it up to people interested in dynamat. Let's keep an eye on this guy though.

Thanks,

alright, it just irks me the wrong way when somethign like that which is written super generic so it can be spammed on any car forum with the right thread title. the whole thing sounds usefull, but when you really look at it just how much time are you going to spend looking for the bolts holding the bus seat down? At the end there is a link to a dynamat website. I know its not that bad, but adverts really irk me when they are made not to look like adverts, like the new radio ads where they read em off as if they are an AM radio talk show host so you might be trickd into thinking its just some guy talking about this aweseom weight loss product or insurance, or lifelock, or whatever, and not a paid spot. sorry you'd swear i was molested by a billboard or somethign as a child.

Well, I can hardly toss him for the crime of stupidity. They'll probably run him off with posts. He doesn't seem to be selling anything.

Please do not report spam that is not greater than 24 hours old. If you find it, it just means your online before me. These immediate reports are just creating more work for me.

If you find something more than 24 hours old, I missed it. Please report.

Spam resistance is pretty tough Doc. I applaud your efforts, and the mods too.

I frequent one forum where the first 3 posts have to be monitored by a mod or administrator before being allowed on the boards. After that (if they are actually a human and show it) they can post normally. I believe your forum software WILL allow this also, but I'm not completely sure. That one forum is pretty much Spam free. (yeah,.. every now and again someone goes goofy and starts selling their own products relentlessly... but they were active members first)

Since the newest spam campaign involves posting semi-meaningful generic answers, followed by links - would it be possible to disallow links until somebody has been a member for a while, or has a certain number of posts? It would weed out a majority of them right off the bat, though I don't know it that would be difficult to implement.

Interesting thought, but not very practical. The spammers never quit. Fortunately, our security keeps most (and I mean hundreds a day!) from posting. The few that get through are actually dumb enough to sit and type a "legitimate response" just to get their Ugg Boots link in somewhere. Members are good at catching the few I miss.

FYI, looks like a "Vangore" spammed the Electrical Forum... unless Los Angeles Asian Escorts are somehow electrically related...

Here is one for ya.
Online Bingo
The home has one theoretical court. I mean, one learn is more female than a valuable house. Prospective gamble is that clear book. Some smooth staff outbid as one true field. By the way, that bingo is more keen than one grey room. Relieved force is the european date. Increasing casino is the bright hour. I played that law excepting some sense. The learn has this pleasant house. It's grim to be fed!
