Cranking PW, Afterstart & WarmUP

I'm still striving for that "new car" startup characteristics. Currently I have to crank for about 10-15 from a "cold start" (considering a typical So. Cal. day of 75-80 degrees). Afteer lighting off, it will idle roughly for a while, about 45 seconds and them die.

Here is a few screen shots of the associated values...

After Start Enticement (ASE)

Warm Up Enrichment (WUE)

Any thoughts on where I should go from here? Thanks.

Have you tried Tuner Studio's Warmup tuning feature? Do you have an idle valve/aux air valve to get more air in during warmup?

Yes, I do have a Idle Control Valve. It is set to "Warm Up Only". The DC is set to 130 (max 255) at low temperatures. Then fully closed after warm up.

So,, what about Tuner Studio, have you used it? It is well worth the registration fee.

almost every time this is due to way too much fuel, the default numbers in the tune are for a big watercooled V8.
An ACVW with decent injector aim needs MUCH less.

You should probably be at zero (100% WUE) over 120F, but that depends hugely on your CHT type/location.
Note you should set "extended CHT range" for an aircooled motor in most cases, and you can add fuel at high CHT.
The whole range to 450F can be used.
Cold timing is same deal, progressively drop timing hot, it's on all the time if you wish.
(I'm not sure MS1 has those features...but in general they are very useful)

Start by zeroing out afterstart% and almost zero WUE.

...and do register TS, the VE table auto tune is worth it by itself.

I do have a registered version of TS, so i will look at it further.

I am also limited by MS1. Timing functions are very basic, and I don't have temperature base options, or even a separate idle table.

(sorry to hi-jack) I haven't spotted this feature. What does it do ?

Im coming back this again. I still haven't been able to achieve good starting and warm-up settings. Even with the WUE wizard, not much improvement. The WB takes about 20 seconds or so to warm-up and begin sending data. How will this affect the WUE wizard?

If the WBO2 isn't hot and online its useless and the WUE wizard will not work how you desire.

Temporarily power the WBO2 so it just stays on when you do this or other startup logging.

The real serial port on an MS3 works better than the onboard FTDI setup for this as well.
