Warm Up Enrichment Temperature

Hello Everybody. I am having a lot of fun tuning with Megasquirt. My tune and performance seems to be getting better every time I mess with it, and I am starting to understand what it all means.

I am running MS1-Extra, rev 029y4*****************

Tunerstudio MSv3.0.10

While looking over my latest data log, I noticed that I am in the Warm Up Enrichment mode, until my coolant temps reach 160* (F).

My typical cruising temp is about 130*.

I get good idle once the CLT temp reaches about 95*-100*

I have my Warm Up Enrichments settings so they are 100% at 80* and above. (No additional fuel added, right?)

Where do I change the WUE so that it turns off at about 80*

FYI, my temp sensor is up between cylinders 1&2 so it is reading the warmed air from these two cylinders.

Thanks in advance.

If you go into the 'Start up' section of tuner studio and open up WUE you will have a graph showing the % enrichment values and temperatures. Adjust the values so that the % enrichment reaches 100% at the required temperature then tune the rest of the curve to suit (with the engine running).

Where is your sensor? 130F is very low, if head mounted.
(130C would be more like it)

If its measuring block temp is will warm up slowly ~as the oil does.

Piledriver,

The sensor is in the place of where the stock bellows would be, right under the 1 & 2 cylinders.

I have adjusted the percentage of enrichment to 100% where it has reached a decent temperature, but the light that indicates that i am still in wue stays on until 160

I have never played with MS1 for more than 5 minutes on the bench, so I can't help much on details with it.

Is the bottom tin etc all in place?
If you have J pipes, you have the blockoff bits so no fresh air finds the sensor?

Mine (open element GM) is simply ziptied to a pushrod tube under the head, but I have all the underneath tin.
It only "sees" hot air that flows around the ex ports/top of chamber on a T4,
It responds very fast, consistently and accurately vs. a TC in the same place, and tracks under plug TC very well, even though there is an offset depending on RPM/fan speed.

At idle its almost 1:1, at 75 MPH cruise CLT reads about 75F lower than under the plug.
