Just normal Bosch plugs. Thanks, that did the trick. I pulled the plugs, cleaned them off to make it a little easier to start and went back an changed the ignition from Fuel Only to Toothed Wheel, 36 and 1, etc. Even though I'm running it in fuel only mode, it needs this setting to get the correct values for the trigger wheel--pretty ambiguous but about par for the course. Anyhoo, now the RPMs are normal.

Kept increasing the PW until I got a good kick while cranking and gradually increased ASE and WUE values until it starts and ran for almost five minutes before dying. The VE table is still a little off I know, but I'm getting there.

Thanks again.

Make sure you have resistor plugs and/or wires, or great frustration may ensue.
It will be hard enough fighting electrical noise with a stock gen or alt.

A small ferrite filter or transformer/cap setup to feed the ecu, like a radio noise filter kit (used to be able to get them cheap from Radio Shack) may prove useful in the long run, and maybe short run.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
